Membership in all Rotary Clubs is by invitation and sponsorship of an existing Club member.
Criteria for Membership
To maintain and strengthen the leadership quality and effectiveness of the Rotary Club of Nashville, the Board of Directors considers these attributes essential for membership:
- One who is or was president, partner, corporate officer or manager in an executive position with discretionary authority of any worthy and recognized business or profession.
- One who has demonstrated service and civic leadership in the community, and
- One who embraces Rotary's motto of 'Service Above Self'.
How Do I Sponsor a new member to the Club?
The Rotary Club of Nashville welcomes and encourages its members to suggest prospective new members in the Club. The Membership Committee evaluates the recommendations and attempts to select prospects that best meet the above criteria and develop a demographically diverse and balanced membership. How do I become a member of the Rotary Club of Nashville?
Membership in the Rotary Club of Nashville is by invitation only. Individuals interested in pursuing membership must identify and existing Club member who will submit their name for consideration by the MEmbership Recruitment Committee. Expectations of all active members
- Maintain not less that 50% attendance over each 6-month period.
- Participate in Club committees and volunteer in at least one service project per year.
- Support the Nashville Rotary Service Trust and the Rotary Foundation of Rotary International with an annual contribution and volunteer support.
